the greatest grooves of the grand canyon gradually grew as grains of dirt were brushed off the landscape.
raindrops condensed around particles plummetted, pushed pieces of earth along a spreading path. wearing down stone, tearing through layers.
the plains used the rains to brush off the grains that caused them pains, watery veins that left permanent stains.
"it's nothing," the earth feigns.
